Burns began her television career in 1995 portraying the supporting role of Peg in the Spanish-American teen sitcom Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Burns was a part of Baywatch, an action-drama series in 1998. Following that, she starred as Baywatch: Hawaii. Burns later quit Baywatch due to her first pregnancy.
